Countryside PTO Job Descriptions

President-Elect: 2 year position

The President-Elect shall act as an aide to the President and shall perform the duties of the President in the absence or disability of that officer to act.  The President-Elect shall attend meetings of the Parent Leadership Council of School District #273, supervise specific committees as designated by the President, and serve as PTO representative to the Countryside Site Council.  The President-Elect will serve as PTO President in the 20010-11  school year, and as chairperson of the Nominating Committee in 2009-10.

Estimated Meeting Commitment
Edina Parent Leadership Council: There were eight meetings in 2008-09, held on the second Monday of the month at the Edina Community Center.

Countryside Site Council: In 2008- 09 the Site Council met once a month, the first Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. at Countryside.

Countryside PTO Meetings: In 2008-09 the Countryside PTO met six times on a Tuesday, five times in the evening and one in the morning.

Countryside PTO Executive Meetings: These meetings are scheduled to best suit the Exec. board and have a minimum requirement of 6  for the year.

Vice-President of Fundraising-Elect: 2-year position

The Vice-President of Fundraising - Elect shadows the current Vice-President of Fundraising to learn the ropes, then to serve as Vice-President of Fundraising in the 2010-11 school year.  The Vice-President of Fundraising shall act as an aide to the President and President-Elect and shall oversee all fundraising and make expenditure suggestions.

Treasurer-Elect:  2-year position

The Treasurer-Elect will shadow the current Treasurer to learn the accounting system, then to serve as Treasurer in the 2010-2011 school year.

Secretary: 1 year position

The Secretary shall record the minutes of all general business meetings of the PTO and all meetings of the Board of Directors and shall perform such other duties as may be delegated.
